Acts as an ombudsman among City departments, applicants and other agencies, to <br /> streamline processing and implementation. <br /> <br /> 10. Negotiates complex economic development and redevelopment agreements <br /> resulting in project implementation. <br /> <br /> 11. Conduct an annual business survey to identify businesses at risk; and work with <br /> other City staff to assist such businesses. <br /> <br /> 12. Act as the specific City liaison to new businesses moving into Downtown; and <br /> personally contact all new businesses moving into the City. <br /> <br /> 13. Plan, implement and update all forms of City marketing to the business <br /> community, including developing and maintaining a web site with other involved <br /> staff. <br /> <br /> 14. Implements and updates the Economic Development Strategy. <br /> <br />JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> Knowledge of.' <br /> <br /> Principles, practices and issues of economic development including industrial and <br /> commercial recruitment and retention methods, real estate, land use planning, land <br /> development process, financing alternatives, and economic incentive methods. <br /> Joint public/private sector approaches to economic development and techniques to <br /> stimulate and promote economic activity, including marketing and promotion <br /> techniques. <br /> <br /> Public policy, laws, regulations and procedures pertaining to economic <br /> development. <br /> <br /> Financing techniques and procedures relating to real estate and business <br /> development, industrial development and land financing. <br /> <br /> <br />
