<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />u6'7288 <br /> <br />C,0Qd ,r~'.-;:J /cf7..., <br />c."':::>'' (p /.. ." 0 <br />,.' ..JL-._"....: l~tJ:..U':' <br /> <br />BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />****** <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GRANTING TO <br />THE CITY AN EASEMENT AND LICENSE IN, ON AND OVER A PORTION OF <br />APN 052-367-010, COMMONLY KNOWN AS 2200 BROADWAY, REDWOOD, CITY, <br />CALIFORNIA, FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE HISTORIC COUNTY <br />COURTHOUSE AND CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC PLAZA <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of <br />California, that <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its <br /> <br />consideration and acceptance a cooperative agreement (the "Agreement"), reference to <br />which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the'County of San Mateo grants <br />to the City of Redwood City an easement and license for the use of real property owned <br /> <br />by the County for nominal consideration as set forth in said Agreement, and in <br /> <br />accordance with the terms and conditions contained therein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, entering such Agreement will preserve and enhance the historic <br /> <br />County Courthouse and the Courthouse Block as an important community asset, and <br /> <br />create a community gathering place for the people of the County, and. facilitate the <br /> <br />reconstruction of the historic southern fagade of the Courthouse, and creation of a <br /> <br />public plaza ("Courthouse Square") adjacent to the Courthouse; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, reconstruction of the historic Courthouse and creation of <br /> <br />Courthouse Square will enhance the use of the Courthouse as the County Historical <br /> <br />Museum; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in complia'nce with Government Code Section 25526.6, this Board <br /> <br />finds that the conveyance of the easement and license set forth in the Agreement is in <br />
