<br />Trustees to be held at Canada College to see the site and how the campus has <br />transformed. <br /> <br />Tom Mohr, President of Canada College, stated his expectation that Council will be <br />surprised at the look of the new quad and vista. He further described the facility <br />stating that he has never seen such a beautiful facility for the fundamental services <br />rendered to the young people, many adults, and the community. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Howard to approve by motion an agreement designating the San Mateo <br />Community College District as Lead Agency for the purpose of conducting <br />environmental review of their proposed faculty/staff housing project at the Canada <br />College campus in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />(Attachment 1). The City of Redwood City, as well as the Town of Woodside and <br />the San Mateo County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will act as <br />Responsible Agencies. The motion passed by a majority roll call vote with <br />Mayor Pierce and Council Member Bain not participating in the vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER 07.118 <br /> <br />7. STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />A. Fiscal year 2007/2008 Budget Study Session NO.2 <br /> <br />1. Water and Sewer Funds (PowerPoint Presentation on file.) <br /> <br />Public Works Services Director Barwacz gave the opening comments <br />explaining that sewer charge estimates were difficult to determine with final <br />estimate information coming after staff reports were completed. <br /> <br />PWS Superintendent Rosas made the presentation of the water enterprise fund <br />with an overview of the status of the fund, significant budget changes in the <br />coming fiscal year, and some of the accomplishments of the last fiscal year. <br /> <br />PWS Superintendent Harang explained that the presentation focuses on the <br />current budget and she further outlined the increases as a result of recent data. <br /> <br />Council Members asked various questions. <br /> <br />M/S Howard/Aguirre to accept the budget for the funds as presented. The <br />motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />2. Redevelopment Agency Budget for Fiscal Year 2007/08 - City <br />Council/Redevelopment AQencv Board <br /> <br />Redevelopment Manager Moeller explained the proposed budget.
