In that <br />light, the operating principles established in Redwood City 2000's original charter will be <br />continued. The Operating Principles are: <br /> <br />o Redwood City children and families' diverse needs guide our work <br />o Human and financial resources are leveraged and maximized across all sources - <br />public, private and philanthropic <br />o Sustainability and adaptability of successful programs/initiatives is paramount <br />o Work across systems to impact areas of high need as determined by quantitative <br />and qualitative information <br />o Community building and empowerment is the underpinning of all of our efforts and <br />the orientation of all of our work <br /> <br />Redwood City 2020 Membership and Structure <br /> <br />All partner organizations contribute financial, staff and program resources to Redwood <br />City 2020 efforts. The core commitment is a $25,000 investment that supports the <br />management of the collaboration and coordination of citywide initiatives. The financial <br />investment is coupled with participation in management meetings. <br /> <br />Coordinating Committee meets quarterly and consists of elected officials and/or their <br />equivalent along with Cabinet. The Coordinating Committee works to: <br />o Monitor Redwood City 2020 activities <br />o Identify/advocating policy issues that can improve youth and families lives <br />o Develop recommendations to take back to their respective governing bodies <br />relating to allocation of resources <br />o Serve as the final decision making body for Redwood City 2020 <br />o Oversee system changes and improvements that serve children and family well <br />being <br /> <br />Cabinet meets every other month and consists of the directors from the public <br />institutions (school districts, city and county). The Cabinet works to: <br />o Articulate problems/obstacles and outline process for solutions <br />o Build and maintain personal relationships <br /> <br />Atty/Agr/RC2020 Master Agreement <br />040104 <br /> <br />5 <br />
