<br />07/23/2007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2313 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE VII OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE <br />REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL CODE "MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />TRAFFIC" <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Article Seven (VII) (Stopping, Standing and Parking) of Chapter 20 <br />(Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Redwood City Municipal Code is hereby modified by <br />adding Section 20.96.1 to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 20.96.1. PARKING OF VEHICLES WITH A GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT <br />RATING OF MORE THAN 5,000 POUNDS FOR MORE THAN TWO CONSECUTIVE <br />HOURS PROHIBITED; REMOVAL BY POLICE: <br /> <br />A. When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person who owns or has <br />possession, custody, or control of any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of <br />more than 5,000 pounds shall park or leave standing such vehicle upon the street for <br />more than a consecutive period of two (2) hours. This limitation on parking shall be <br />effective twenty-four (24) hours daily. <br /> <br />B. In the event a vehicle is parked or left standing upon a street segment, <br />posted with a limited parking sign as stated above, in excess of a consecutive period <br />of two (2) hours, any member of the Police Department authorized by the Chief of <br />Police may remove the vehicle from the street or highway in the manner and subject <br />to the requirements of section 22650 et seq., of the Vehicle Code of the State. For <br />purposes of this Section, a vehicle shall be deemed parked or left standing if it has not <br />been moved at least two-tenths (0.20) of a mile within the aforesaid two (2) hour <br />period. <br /> <br />C. When signs are erected giving notice thereof, the streets to which this <br />parking restriction shall apply are as follows: <br /> <br />Street Side Limits Maximum <br /> Parking Period <br />Veterans Easterly Chestnut Street to Walnut Street Two (2) hours <br />Boulevard <br />Oddstad Drive Both Entire Street Two 2 hours <br />Oddstad Road Both Entire Street Two 2 hours <br />Hansen Way Both Entire Street Two 2 hours <br /> <br />ATTY/ORD/ORD.278 <br />070207 <br /> <br />2313 <br />formerly muff# 703 <br />
