Tl�e Lez�ue bylaws provide that resolutions shall be referred by the preszd�nt�o a�n <br /> appropriate policy cornmittee for review and recommendation. Resolutions with.con,zrnittee <br /> recomznendations shall then be referred to the General Resolutions Committee at the Annual <br /> Conference. <br /> POLICY COMMITTEES: Four policy corrunittees will meet at the�nnual Conference to consider <br /> and take action on resolutions referred to them. They are: Administrative Services; Communiry <br /> Services; Housing, Community and Economie Develo�ment; and Public Safety. Th.e committees will <br /> r��Pt nn Wednesday, Septexn�+er 5, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Regency Ballroom, located across <br /> from the Sacramento Convention Center. This committee includes one representative from each of <br /> the League's regionai divisions,functionai departments, standing policy commi.ttees, as well as other <br /> individuals. <br /> Al�'NUAL SUSINESS MEETING AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY will be held at 8:30 a.m. on <br /> Saturday, September 8, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Regency Ballroom, located across from the <br /> convention center, <br /> PETTTIONED RES�LUTIONS: For those issues that develop after the normal 60-day deadline, <br /> a resolution may be introduced with a petitiorz signed by designated votii�g delegates of 10 percent <br /> of aIi member cities(48 valid signatures required) and presented to tlae Voting Delegates Desk no <br /> later than 24 hours prior to the time set far convei�ing the Annual Business Session of the General. <br /> Asse�nbly. This year,the deadline is 8:30 a.m., Friday, September 7.
