("Verde Design�), <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve, by motion, the assignment of existing professional services agreements with <br /> Beals Aliiance to Verde Design and authorize the City Manager to execute a Consent to <br /> AssignmentAgreement with Verde Design, <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The City entered into#wo separate agreements with Beals Aliiance to provide landscape <br /> architectural/civil engineering services to the City far the Sportsfield Synthetic TurF <br /> Canversion Project. The agreements, previousiy approved by Cauncil, a�-e dated <br /> September '{6, 2005 and Qecember 4, 20U6 ("�riginal Agr�ments"}. The Origina! <br /> Agreements with Beals Alfiance provide for planning, design, canstruction <br /> documentafian, and construction administration services ta suppart synfhetic turf <br /> conversion projects at Red Mor#on, Hawes, Ma�rlin, and Sandpiper parks. <br /> Verde Design recentiy acquired Beals Alliance and is the new lega! entity that wiii . <br /> continue to provide the services specified in the Qriginal Agreements. City staff does <br /> not an+.6ci�ate any�+e!ay or disadvantage to ihe work in process t�cause of the cha�ge <br /> of business ownership since Verde Design has refained persannef from Beals AIliance. <br /> The City is asked ta consent to the assignment of rights, obligations, and interest in the <br /> C)riginal Agreements from Beals AlEiance to the new business entity, Verde Design, lnc., <br /> effective Juty 1, 2Q07. <br /> ALTERNATIVES <br /> The Council may choose not to consent to this assignment. The Qriginai Agreements <br /> with Beals A1liance wouid be rescinded and repiaced with agresments between the City <br /> and Verde Design, Inc. <br /> FlSCAL IMPACT <br /> There is no fiscal impacf as a result of this action. Funding for the Original Agreements <br /> has already been encumbered from the Recycled Water and Capital Improvement <br /> Program budge#s <br />
