DES:d~~ 10/18/96 (053/42) <br /> <br /> o R I G I N A L 10/28/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12945 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF A LASER PRINTING <br /> SYSTEM FOR UTILITY BILLING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br />competitive bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Department requires the purchase of a <br />laser printing system for utility billing which is fully <br />compatible to the printer used for check writing, payroll and <br />accounts payable; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of <br />said laser printing system in an amount not to exceed Twelve <br /> <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-two and No/100 Dollars ($12,852.00); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of a laser <br />printing system for utility billing to the City of Redwood City <br />from Standard Register Company of Pleasanton, California in an <br />amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-two and <br />No/100 Dollars ($12,852.00). <br /> <br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br />authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
