WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the proposed amendments and <br />has determined that the public interest and convenience require said <br />amendments; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby finds and declares that the public interest and <br />convenience require certain amendments to the terms of the Underground Utility <br />District No. 1994-1 as hereinafter described. <br /> <br /> 2. The date by which the undergrounding of all overhead utilities, including <br />existing service drops, and the removal of all wood utility poles, overhead wires, <br />and associated structures from all streets, roads, alleys, and ways is hereby <br />proposed to be amended to occur within said district by August 1, 1997. <br /> <br /> 3. The provisions governing the undergrounding of utilities serving <br /> residential properties are hereby proposed to be amended to provide that: (i) the <br /> utility company which undertakes underground installation of its facilities shall <br /> apply the underground conversion allocation computed pursuant to decision of <br /> the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California to provide to each <br /> single-family dwelling unit in the District a maximum of 100 feet of individual <br /> electric service trenching and associated conductors; (ii) Each other serving <br /> utility shall provide service trenching and conductor in accordance with its tariffs <br /> <br /> RESO-087 2 <br /> FXS:djk <br /> 09/23/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
