0 R I G I N A L 9/23/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12924 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR JOB TRAINING PROGRAM <br /> <br /> (CANADA COLLEGE - JOB TRAINING UNIT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Canada College ("Contractor") conducts a job training <br />program for Iow income residents of the City of Redwood City (the "Program"); <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and <br />ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Eighty-eight Thousand Eight <br />Hundred Thirty-three Dollars ($88,833.00) from its Community Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br /> to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br /> agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Job Training Program <br /> (Canada College - Job Training Unit)," (form dated 09/06/96), by and between <br /> <br /> <br />
