The project is known as "Westpaint Marina" and is locater� on a 50- <br /> acre s�te adjacent to PaC�c Shares at 1529 Seapor# Bvulevard. <br /> The Westpoint Marina wili be constructed in several phases. To date, fhe site has been <br /> graded to accommodate the marina, and the exfer�or ievee has been breached to ailow <br /> water into the new marina basin as permitted by Engineering and Consiruction. T'he first <br /> phase of canstruction includes the installation of docks and the Harbormaster building to <br /> accommodate recreational boaters. Subsequent phases will indude the boat yard, <br /> resfaurants, and, possibl�, re#ail sales facilities. <br /> The first phase of cortstruction a�so includes the installation af water servaces for the <br /> docks. The wa#er sysfem wiil provide domestic water for use by boa# owners, and fire <br /> pra#ection for the docks, The water main extension and compaund meter that wili <br /> provide water service to ti�te WestpoinY Marina, are required fo be cantained in a City <br /> Servi�e Easemertt. This easement provides access for fhe purpose of mairrtaining the <br /> water main and ti�e meter. <br /> Mr. Sanders, fhe project devefoper, offers this easement for the City's use. The <br /> designation af this Cit}r Service Easement is ct�nsis#ent with the other easemenfs af <br /> adjoining prop�rties ofi Paci�c Shares. <br /> AL7ERNATtVES <br /> Councii may cF�aase not to accept it�e easement affered by Mr. Sanders, which wouid <br /> be contrary to public poficy, and prevent the deve(opment af v�ater facifities for the <br /> project. <br /> FISCAt��MPA�T <br /> There is no known fiscal impact as a rescalt af this actian. <br />
