The approved master plan was incorporated as a site plan into the draft SRDC <br /> facility operations RFP. The recommended facility improvements must be permitted, <br /> designed, and constructed in time for the rollout of the new services. <br /> On June 28, 2007 the SBWMA Baard appraved the draft collection RFP and agreement <br /> and draft SRDC operations RFP and agreement. The next step in the R�P process is <br /> for member agencies to reaffirm #heir approval of tt�e programmatic details and contract <br /> terms, including approval of the changes recommended by SBWMA staff as expfained <br /> in the Analysis section. <br /> After receiving member agency approvals and any recommended changes to #he draft <br /> RFP's and agreements, the documents wil! be brought to the October 25, 2007 SBWMA <br /> Board meeting for fina! approval. !n order for a Board vofie fio be taken at that meeting, <br /> all member agency approvals must be completed by September 28, 2007. SBWMA <br /> staff will finalize the documents based on member agency approvais and input received <br /> by September 28. Shortiy after SBWMA Board approval, the appraved documents wili <br /> be released to proposers. <br /> Ef the Cauncil directs that any changes be made to the documents and these changes <br /> do nofi affect other agencies, these changes wili then be incorporated into the finai <br /> documents. If, however, the Council requests changes that affect other agencies, then <br /> the SBWMA Board will vo#e upon whether ta include these changes in the final <br /> documents. City staff will represent the Council's desires but cannot guarantee that a <br /> majority of the SBWMA Board wi(I concur. <br /> Schedu/e � <br /> The next steps in the RFP process are out(ined in the follawing schedule: <br /> Jul.-Sep. 28, 2007 Member agency approval of draft collection RFP and agreement <br /> and draft SRDC operations RFP and agreement ("RFP <br /> documents"). <br /> All member agency approvals and commenfis to be completed by <br /> September 28, 2007. <br /> Oct. 18, 2007 SBV`JMA staff sends out Board packet with final "RFP documents." <br /> Oct. 25, 2007 SBWMA Board meeting to consider SBWMA staff recammendation <br /> to approve release of the final "RFP documen#s." <br /> Nov: 1, 2007 SBWMA release of the final "RFP documents." <br /> Dec. 2007 Conduct mandatary pre-proposal conferences. <br /> Feb./Mar. 2008 Proposals due. <br /> Mar.-Jul. 2008 Review of proposals, proposer interviews, and selection. <br /> Aug.-Sep. 2008 The SBWMA selects recommended contrac#or(s) for the operafiion <br /> " of the SRDC and collection operations. <br /> Oct.-Dec. 2048 Each agency must approve the selection of their collection <br /> contractor while 2/3 of the members must approve the selection of <br /> the contractor for operating the SRDC. <br /> Jan.-Mar. 2009 SBWNIA and member agencies complete negotiations wiih <br /> contractor(s). <br /> Apr.-Jun. 2009 Member agencies approve negotiated agreements*. <br /> Jan. 1, 2011** Contractor(s) commences rol(out af services. <br /> 3 <br />
