Churches/tiouses of worship are defined as"al!real proper(y used <br /> exclusively by the awner#or religious worship if the property qualifies#or tax exemption <br /> under the Califomia Constitution for houses af religious warship" <br /> • Prohibit govemmenf fran using eminent domain to acguire a smal(business#o transfer to <br /> another private party, unless the small business owner is first given the opportunity to <br /> participate in the revitalization pfan to eliminate blight <br /> • Give#he original owner the right to repurchase a home or smalt business property <br /> acquired by eminent domain if the govemment doesn't use tF�e properry for a public use <br /> AB 887 info <br /> AB 887{De La l'orre)woufd provide enhanced protections for sma11 business owners confronted <br /> with eminent damain. Some key provisions of the bill include: <br /> • if the small business does not participate in the revitalization pian,it can choose between <br /> re4ocating or receiving the value of#he business.
