The plan envisions service <br /> starting in Redwood City in 2012. In addition to providing a cost effective and <br /> enviroiimentally friendly transit alternative, ferry service in Redwood City would be a <br /> strategically important asset iii response to a�i emergency or disaster that cripples other <br /> transportation modes. <br /> 1 <br />
