Community Support Requirements <br /> For Traffic Calming Devices <br /> On McGarvey Avenue <br /> The following are minimum requirements. Obtaining additional signatures is <br /> encouraged, to demonstrate strong community consensus. <br /> All-Way Stop Signs at: a) Fernside; b) Euclid OR Connecticut <br /> For each intersection, a petition signed by representatives of at least 10 separate <br /> addresses located within one block of the intersection, which must include all of <br /> the addresses at the immediate corners, as follows: <br /> a) At Fernside: 2973, 2974, 2998, 3002, and 3003 McGarvey. <br /> b) At Euclid: 2310 and 2408 McGarvey, and 2225 and 2303 Euclid; <br /> OR <br /> At Connecticut: 2494, 2502, and 2507 McGarvey, and 1003 Connecticut. <br /> Traffic Circle at Chesterton (east: between Alameda and Connecticut) <br /> A petition signed by representatives of: <br /> • At least 60% of all properties located within one block along all 4 street <br /> legs, as follows: on McGarvey between Alameda and Connecticut, and <br /> 1114 through 1296 Chesterton; <br /> AND <br /> • All 4 corner properties: 2602 and 2603 McGarvey, and 1198 and 1202 <br /> Chesterton. <br /> Chokers at Chesterton corners (west: between Fernside and Alameda) <br /> A petition signed by representatives of: <br /> • At least 60% of all properties located near the intersection, defined as <br /> follows: 2732 through 2903 McGarvey, and 902 through 1039 Chesterton; <br /> AND <br /> • All 4 corner properties: 2902 and 2903 McGarvey, and 973 and 1003 <br /> Chesterton. <br /> Only those potential traffic calming device installations above which are <br /> supported by the McGarvey neighborhood at the April 18, 2006 meeting will be <br /> considered at this time. Subsequently, if the community submits petitions <br /> meeting these requirements, each installation would be subject to City Council <br /> review and approval. Traffic circle and chokers would be subject to a trial period <br /> using temporary materials, with possible permanent installation contingent on <br /> successful performance. <br />
