0 R I G I N A L 9/23/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12917 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL ASSISTANCE, INTERVENTION <br /> AND EVICTION DEFENSE PROGRAM <br /> <br /> (LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL, INC.) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, La Raza Centro Legal, Inc. ("Contractor") conducts a legal <br />assistance, intervention and eviction program for residents of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> \ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July t, t996, and <br />ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00) <br />from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Legal Assistance, <br /> intervention and Eviction Defense Program (La Raza Centro Legal, Inc.)," (form <br /> <br /> <br />
