<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK <br />FISCAL YEAR 2007/2008 <br />CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />Quantifiable Goals to be Provided With Requested <br />Funds <br />Provide nutritionally balanced weekly bags of groceries <br />to 175 Households - 15 of those households are <br />homebound members <br /> <br />Conduct quarterly nutrition education activities. <br /> <br />Offer volunteer opportunities for Brown Bag participants <br />at two distribution sites, totalin 1,600 hours of service. <br />Publish and distribute a quarterly newsletter addressing <br />issues of interest to seniors such as health and nutrition <br />and food reci es. <br />Outcome Based Goal: 70% of surveyed respondents <br />will report that Operation Brown Bag allows them to <br />have more money for other basic needs. <br /> <br />Performance Indicators (how you will <br />measure the uantifiable oal <br />We will run monthly distribution reports to <br />quantify the number of pounds of food <br />distributed in Redwood City. Our Nutritionist will <br />ensure that food distributed to participants <br />meets the minimum food uidelines. <br />The Food Bank Nutritionist publishes monthly <br />reports of site visits, materials distributed and <br />to ics covered. <br />Run monthly member volunteer reports to <br />assess artici ation levels. <br />Quarterly Brown Bag newsletter distributed to <br />program participants. Other written materials <br />will be sent out uarterl. <br />Conduct an annual client satisfaction survey. <br />(Please note - annual survey results are not <br />available until the October following the fiscal <br />year.
