ORIGINAL <br /> (08/26/96) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12878 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties is a private, <br />non-profit agency that provides food to San Mateo County agencies and sites serving women and <br />children, the "working poor", families in transition, the elderly, and disabled on iow fixed <br />incomes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, has <br />requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1996 and ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br />Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clare and San Mateo Counties a private, non-profit agency the <br />sum of Six Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($6,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Second Harvest Food <br /> Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties has been presented to this council and it is the <br /> <br /> intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOO CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Second Hawest Food Bank of Santa Clare and San Mateo Counties a copy of which agreement <br /> is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
