0 R I G I N A L (08/26/96) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12869 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Friends For Youth, Inc. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Friends For Youth, Inc. is a private, non-profit agency that provides serves <br />to at risk youth by creating and cultivating long term, one to one friendships with adult <br />volunteer mentors; and <br /> WHEREAS, Friends For Youth, Inc., has requested financial assistance for use by it in <br />conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996 and ending June 30, <br />1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br /> Friends For Youth, Inc. a private, non-profit agency the sum of Three Thousand Five Hundred <br /> and No/100 Dollars ($3,500) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Friends For Youth, Inc. <br /> has been presented to this council and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the <br /> same; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> SE IT RESOLVED BY THE OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Friends For Youth, Inc. a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br /> which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br /> City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City <br /> of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
