6.K. - Page 7 of 24 <br />EXHIBIT A <br />Redwood <br />CjtyI California <br />d Fowd¢d I&U <br />Conditions of Approval for <br />Personal Delivery Device Permit <br />1. Effective Date. The Personal Delivery Device Permit ("PDD Permit") shall <br />become effective when issued by the City Manager or his/her authorized representative <br />("Effective Date") <br />2. Term. The term of the PDD Permit shall commence on the Effective Date <br />and shall continue in full force and effect for up to two (2) years during the 2019 Pilot <br />Program to operate Personal Delivery Devices ("PDD") in the City of Redwood City <br />("City") unless the PDD Permit is revoked, the Personal Delivery Device Agreement is <br />earlier terminated, and/or 2019 Pilot Program Termination occurs. The Permit that <br />Permittee has to operate PDDs in the City under the 2019 Pilot Program shall not <br />commence without first complying with these Conditions of Approval. <br />3. Personal Delivery Device Aareement. A PDD Permit shall not issue without <br />an executed Personal Delivery Device Agreement ("PDD Agreement") between Permittee <br />and the City to establish the terms of utilizing PDDs on Redwood City sidewalks, <br />crosswalks, streets, public thoroughfares, and other public or quasi -public right of way <br />("Right of Way"). <br />4. Permit Revocation. Permittee understands and acknowledges that the PDD <br />Permit is revocable at any time by the City Manager, or his/her designee, without cause <br />or liability and without any obligation to pay any consideration to Permittee, and the PDD <br />Agreement shall automatically terminate concurrently therewith. Upon any PDD Permit <br />revocation, Permittee shall immediately stop operating PDDs in the City. <br />5. Notice Prior to Starting Work.
