8.A. - Page 23 of 48
From: Rick Hunter
To: GRP -City Council; MGR -Alex Khoiikian
Subject: New Map Submission
Date: Saturday, April 6, 2019 4:44:09 PM
Attachments: Screenshot 2019-04-06 16.35.00.rna
Dear Mayor Bain and Councilmembers,
I have just submitted an additional district map for your consideration. This map is derived
from my previous Map 13j, but combines Bair Island and Redwood Shores, as some people
advocate. One result of this change is that every incumbent would be alone in their district
and not paired with any other incumbent. These are the only significant changes, other than
some minor adjustments to keep the map population balanced. I have attached a screen shot
from the mapping software. As with the previous Map 13j, there are two majority Hispanic
CVAP districts and five majority -minority (50% or more) districts in total population, and the
map is population balanced (not yet verified by the demographer).
Sincerely,
Rick Hunter
348
