Did you know that Ford, a progressive auto manufacturer, has invested heavily in electric vehicle technology
and plans to produce an all -electric F-150 in the next few years, possibly as soon as 2020? It would be a
shame for Redwood City to buy two new gas -guzzlers when our Climate Action Plan demands steady
movement toward zero carbo emissions. Let's get along with what we have for now and let Ford know that we
are eagerly awaiting the debut of all -electric F -150s.
Regards,
Carolyn Chaney,&
<cchanev sfsu.edu>
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" As I'm sure you're all
aware, achieving that goal is going to necessitate changing from
"business as usual" to creative, bold thinking. Redwood city is
proving to be a leader in carbon reduction — let's keep it that
way!
Thank you for looking into this matter.
Carol Cross
Co -Convenor, Fossil Free Mid -Peninsula
Re: climate change: Building a world that works for everyone is exactly what we should refocus our efforts on doing when we
read scientific studies that scare the hell out of us.
