I'm respectfully requesting that you to postpone that decision, and instead have staff research the possibility of <br />buying electric pickups instead. <br />Purchasing fossil fuel trucks at this point is counter to goals of the Climate Action Plan, with its proposal to get <br />to net -zero carbon emissions as quickly as possible. <br />As I'm sure you're all aware, achieving that goal is going to necessitate changing from "business as usual" to <br />more creative, even bold thinking.
