05/06/2019 <br />WHEREAS, the environments in which infants, toddlers and preschoolers are <br />cared for and in which they learn and develop can have a significant impact on their <br />development. AB 452 will help ensure more young children and their families can access <br />safe, high quality settings. The City Council recognizes the great need to provide funding <br />for child care facilities and to help the children of those residents most in need of such <br />facilities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THEH COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, HEREBY: <br />Endorses and supports Assembly Bill 452 which, if made into law, will establish <br />the California Child Care Facilities Grant Fund program to provide grants of up to $1M for <br />the construction of new child care centers and small grants for expansion of licensed <br />family child care homes. <br />ATTY/RESO.0041/CC RESO IN SUPPORT OF ASSEMBLY BILL 452—CHI LDCARE FACILITIES GRANTS RESO.
