EXHIBIT A <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />Training <br />Inspector I, 11 <br />Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by the completion of a certified <br />apprenticeship program in a major trade or an associate degree in building inspection <br />technology. <br />License or Certificate: <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license. <br />Inspector I <br />Obtain certification as an ICBO Building Inspector within two years of employment. <br />Associate Degree in Building Inspection Technology is highly desirable. <br />Inspector II <br />A valid ICBO Combination Inspector (Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical) <br />Certificate. An Associate Degree in Building Inspection Technology may be substituted for <br />either the Plumbing or Mechanical Certification. <br />Special Reauirements: <br />Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br />Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and <br />lift 50 lbs.; exposure to outdoors, dust, electrical hazards, and mechanical hazards; <br />ability to travel to different sites. <br />Effective Date: <br />5 <br />14116 <br />
