DES:djP 08/08/96 (098/32) <br /> o R I G I N A L ~ 8/26/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12859 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ASPHALT <br /> CONCRETE MATERIALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-1997; <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br /> CONNECTION THEREWITH; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br /> DEPOSIT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12785, adopted June 10, <br />1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the purchase of <br />asphalt concrete materials to maintain public streets in the City <br />of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, one bid was <br />received for the furnishing of said materials and filed with the <br />City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company of Redwood City, California, <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and <br /> <br />desire of this Council to accept the bid of said bidder; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Granite Rock Company, in the amount of <br />Eighty-eight Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty and No/100 Dollars <br />($88,950.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br />dated July 31, 1996, and in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents and Specifications therefor on file with the Department <br />of Public Works Services, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />the furnishing of said materials. <br /> <br /> 2.
