6.F. - Page 7 of 180
meetings, and a blog. To date, nine blogs postings have been released and have received a great deal of
positive feedback.
Train: The Stanford team proposed several different training methods, including workshop trainings,
trainings with a manual, and tutorials, including videos. Empowering power users to serve as personal
tutors for their respective department was also a recommended training method.
The recommendations from the Stanford team have all been incorporated to the CMP and are showing
positive results to date. It is anticipated that as the project progresses, additional recommendations from
the Stanford team will be implemented, helping ensure a successful project.
FISCAL IMPACT
The ERP Replacement Project was included in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Budget for FY 2018-
19 and will be included in subsequent necessary fiscal years. The funding sources are the CIP Fund, Water
Capital Fund, and Sewer Capital Fund. Additional funding to cover the agreements for this project are
included as part of the FY 2019-20 Recommended CIP Budget. It should be noted that payments to vendors
will be made over a five-year period.
The estimated five-year cost of all new applications required to replace the existing ERP, including all of
the individual applications, is $6.2 million. It is anticipated that the City will spend $3.8 million in FY 2019-
20, and $600,000 annually from FY 2020-21 through FY 2023-24.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council could request staff to continue with the current in-house developed ERP solution or
conduct a new selection process for Financials and HCM solutions.
ATTACHMENTS
Attachment A: Agreement with CherryRoad
REPORT PREPARED BY:
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
114
