05/20/2019 <br />36. Water Main for Broadway Block - The applicant shall, as part of the Project, design and <br />construct a new water main in Bay along the Broadway Block frontage and across the project <br />site to the existing water main in Broadway, to replace the existing water main located within <br />the project site. The new water main shall be designed and installed in accordance with the <br />City's Engineering Standards and as directed by the City Engineer- The new water main shall <br />be 8" minimum in size and extend across the entire property frontage, from the nearest point <br />of connection to an existing 6" or larger water main. Prior to encroachment permit issuance, <br />the applicant shall submit to City, and obtain approval of, an evaluation and report, prepared <br />by a licensed engineer, in conformance with the City's Engineering Standards, demonstrating <br />that the proposed water main meets the domestic and fire flow requirements in accordance <br />with City Code Section 38.26 and the International Fire Code. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br />37. Water Meters - The project shall provide one "master" water meter for domestic water service <br />and one "master" recycled water meter for each designated use within each building. Irrigation <br />shall be metered separately from all other uses. Tennant Improvement areas intended to be <br />used for retail, restaurants, personal services, business services, and entertainment uses, shall <br />be provided with a separate meter from the areas designed to use recycled water for internal <br />uses. Any metering for individual units must be accomplished by private sub -meters within <br />the property. [COA][ENGINEERING] <br />38. Recycled Water Main - The project shall install a new 16" HDPE recycled water main to serve <br />the recycled water needs of the site. The main shall connect to the existing recycled water main <br />in Marshall Street near Marshall Court and follow an alignmentto the project site as determined <br />by the City Engineer. The recycled water main shall extend across the entire property frontage <br />on Broadway, across Woodside Road within a casing, and to a terminus at the far edge of the <br />existing 25' Alley and public utility easement, approximately 110 linear feet beyond the <br />Caltrans right of way. The recycled water main shall be installed prior to the first Temporary <br />Certificate of Occupancy for any building on the Broadway Block. [COA] [ENGINEERING] <br />39. Recycled Water Facilities - Recycled water (purple pipe) facilities shall be provided and <br />designed in accordance with Engineering Standards for dual plumbing, irrigation, and other <br />warranted uses per the Recycled Water Ordinance, Chapter 38, and as identified in the Recycled <br />Water Development Standards. By state law, recycled water is not allowed in food preparation <br />areas. Recycled water may be used in childcare areas but is not required by City policy. <br />Services that are to be supplied by recycled water shall be designed to properly function at the <br />design pressure required by Engineering. The applicant shall connect the project to the <br />recycled water system prior to project acceptance. [SDR] [ENGINEERING] <br />40. Recycled Water Report - The applicant shall enter into a Recycled Water Use Agreement and <br />shall hire an engineer licensed in California and experienced in the field of wastewater <br />treatment to prepare a recycled water report for dual plumbed facilities, pursuant to California <br />Water Code section 13522.5 and in accordance with California Code of Regulations sections <br />60314 and 60323 (found within Title 22, Division 4, Chapter 3). The first draft of the report and <br />the signed agreement shall be submitted to Engineering prior to building permit issuance, and <br />will be routed to the Public Works Department for review and coordination. The report shall <br />be approved prior to building permit issuance for any building containing dual plumbing. [COA] <br />[ENGINEERING] <br />41. Cross -Connection Control Test - Prior to issuance of the certificate of occupancy, all <br />applicable plumbing systems must pass a cross -connection control test, performed by a Cross- <br />ATTY/RESO.0051 CC RESO APPROVING PROJECT—BROADWAY PLAZA RESO.
