6.0. - Page 8 of 179 <br />2018-2022 Consolidated Plan Substantial Amendment <br />The City is proposing a Substantial Amendment to update the approved 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan and <br />FY2018-2019 Annual Action Plan, which governs the use of federal funds from the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development. These funds include Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and <br />HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds. The Substantial Amendment to the 2018-2022 <br />Consolidated Plan and FY2018-2019 Annual Action Plan includes the addition of homebuyer activities <br />under the HOME Program. This amendment will allow the City to invest HOME funding for Direct <br />Homebuyer Assistance throughout the term of the Consolidated Plan. <br />Public Notification <br />The HHCC will hold a public hearing on May 28, 2019 to review the amendments to the 2018-2022 <br />Consolidated Plan and 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan. The City is required to provide a 30 -day comment <br />period and hold a public hearing for a Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated Plan prior to review <br />and adoption by Council.
