06/10/2019 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15775 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE 2018-2022 <br />CONSOLIDTATED PLAN AND 2018-2019 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN, AS <br />REQUIRED FOR FEDERAL FUNDING UNDER THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT <br />PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAMS; CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS <br />FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS <br />PERTAINING THERETO <br />WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development's <br />Community Development Block Grant Program, authorized pursuant to Title I of the <br />Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (P.L. 93-383), as amended (the <br />"Act"), and HOME Investment Partnerships Program, contained in Title II of the <br />Cranston -Gonzalez National Affordable Housing Act, provide Redwood City ("City") with <br />federal entitlement grant funds to finance a continuum of activities ranging from <br />homeless assistance to economic development and the preservation and production of <br />affordable housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the Act requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop a <br />consolidated plan with the objective of developing viable urban communities by <br />providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and economic opportunities, <br />principally for persons of low or moderate income ("Consolidated Plan"), which is carried <br />out through annual action plans to provide concise summaries of the actions, activities, <br />and resources used each year ("Annual Action Plan"); <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />ATY/RE50.0060/CC RESO ANNUAL ACTION PLAN BUDGET AMENDMENT FY 15-19 RESO.NO. 15775 <br />REV: 05-28-19 DZ MUFF NO. 454 <br />
