EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />CONSULTANTS' DUTIES: <br />I. Consultant shall screen, hire, pay, and supervise qualified lifeguards certified by <br />national life-saving and/or swimming instructor associations to work at City's <br />Herkner Swimming Pool (in pool, on pool deck, and within the building) during all <br />times that programs are in operation at Herkner Swimming Pool by Consultant. <br />The projected pool schedule and staffing model is listed below. The number of <br />guards on duty may decrease or increase based on participation volumes. <br />Consultant will have additional guards on call at the same hourly rate if <br />participation increases to a level that requires more guards. <br />JUNE 17 - AUGUST 9 Hours Guards hours days <br />Programs <br />Rec. Consultant shall provide open/recreational swim, adult swim, and camp swim <br />from Noon to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. "Open/recreational swim" is a <br />swimming schedule that is open to the public. "Adult swim" is a swimming <br />schedule that is reserved for adult exercise. "Camp swim" is a swimming <br />schedule that is reserved for youth swimming camps that use Herkner Pool. <br />3. Consultant shall operate the pool for eight (8) consecutive weeks beginning June <br />17; 2019 to August 9, 2019. Consultant will provide recreational swimming for <br />the community based on determination between City and Consultant. <br />4. Consultant shall be responsible for opening and closing the Herkner Swimming <br />Pool Noon to 4:00pm, and shall take direction for operation of Herkner Swimming <br />Pool from the Director of the Park, Recreation and Community Services <br />Department or his or her designee during times designated in this Agreement. <br />5. Consultant shall collect daily camp and drop-in recreation swim fees and provide <br />daily cash register closeout reports, and City will collect all fees at end of each <br />business day.
