Redwood City intends to fund this pilot project in an amount not to exceed Three
Hundred Seventy Eight Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Four Dollars ($378,664) each year of the two-year
pilot program. An initial payment of 20% or Seventy Five Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty Three Dollars
($75,733) will be dispersed upon execution of an agreement.
Redwood City supports Downtown Streets Team's mission of ending homelessness by building teams of
volunteers that beautify our community and foster dignity, hope, purpose, and a path out of
homelessness. We are thrilled at the prospect of being partners and bringing the Downtown Streets Team
to Redwood City.
Using this funding, Redwood City expects to launch its pilot program in Redwood City and to complete the
outcomes and objectives that will be stated in a prospective agreement.
No binding rights or obligations would be created by this letter of intent, and neither party would have
any binding obligations to the other with respect to the two-year pilot program (except as to funding the
two-year pilot program and making an initial payment not to exceed 20%, upon the execution of an
agreement) unless and until a definitive agreement in a form mutually acceptable to both parties has been
approved by the City Council and the Downtown Streets Team and fully executed by the City and
Downtown Streets Team.
This letter of intent is subject to verification of Downtown Street Team's nonprofit status with the IRS.
Although neither party will be legally bound unless and until the formal agreement has been signed by
both parties, please be assured that I will consider both of us bound to work together in good faith to
ATTY/DOCS-LETTERS/LETTER OF INTENT — DOWNTOWN STREET TEAM —TWO YEAR PILOT PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS SERVICES —ATTACH ME NT A
REV: 06-20-19 RL
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-1000 www.redwoodcity.org
Page 1 of 2
148
