6.T. - Page 3 of 406 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY EMERGENCY <br />OPERATIONS PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the protection of life, property and natural resources is an inherent <br />function of government; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to ensure the most efficient use of <br />resources to protect its community and its property before, during and after a natural, <br />technological, or man-made emergency by adoption of an up-to-date emergency <br />operations plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City Emergency Operations Plan ("EOP") <br />confirms the City of Redwood City's emergency organization, assigns tasks, and <br />presents policies and general procedures; and <br />WHEREAS, the EOP was last approved and adopted in 2006, and has since <br />been revised; and <br />WHEREAS, to retain compliance with both federal and state law, the revised <br />EOP coordinates planning within various emergency management functions utilizing <br />the Standard Emergency Management System in alignment with the National Incident <br />Management System; and <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />ATTY/RESO.0061/CC RESO ADOPTING EOP <br />REV: 05-29-19 RL <br />276 <br />
