To continue the work, an
extension of time and funds is required. The extension of time allows work to continue through June 2021
in the amount of $90,001, not to exceed $150,000. In order to address concerns with the cost of the work,
staff and the consultant worked to develop a reduced -scope alternative that is less expensive while still
meeting the basic requirements of a historic analysis. This reduced -scope alternative would be used for
single-family home evaluations.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of the recommended contract is included in the FY 2019-20 Recommended Budget and is
expected to be sufficient to cover the cost of services provided in the contract. Work performed by the
consultant would primarily be for "cost recovery" projects. "Cost recovery" projects are projects where
the costs associated with City staff and consultant time are recovered through deposit accounts funded
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
62
