6.D. - Page 5 of 8 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />TASK 1: PREPARING INDIVIDUAL HISTORIC RESOURCE EVALUATIONS FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />STRUCTURES <br />M -Group would complete a Historic Resource Evaluation (HRE) for residential projects involving a <br />complete site demolition or major remodel within the Mt. Carmel neighborhood or any structure built <br />before 1940 in other areas of the City. The HIRE will determine eligibility for listing on the California <br />Register of Historic Places and/or eligibility as a local resource consistent with the City's Historic <br />Preservation Ordinance. The following tasks would be completed in each HIRE. <br />Tasks and Fixed -Fee Budget Single Family Residential: <br />Tasks <br />Fee <br />1 <br />Project Start -Up / Site Visit. Confer with City Staff regarding the scope of the <br />$2,500 <br />evaluation. Visit site for photography, analysis and evaluation purposes. Site visit <br />preparation, travel and coordination time are included in this task. <br />2 <br />Develop Draft Historic Resource Evaluation. Develop a draft historic resource <br />evaluation. M -Group will gather existing historic information, and all necessary <br />research, to inform evaluation and determine existing integrity per State/Federal <br />definitions. Resources would include, but not be limited to, building permit history, <br />Sanborn maps, Polk's directories, City historical surveys, the Redwood City Library <br />History Room, and San Mateo County Historical Association records. <br />3 <br />Consultation and Final Draft. M-Groupwill complete a draft document. <br />4 <br />Final Report. M -Group will prepare the Final Historic Resource Evaluation. The HIRE <br />will include Alternatives and Mitigation Measures if appropriate. <br />Total Fixed Fee* <br />$2,500 <br />*Note: if a residential property is developed with more than a single-family home and has multiple <br />buildings, the cost may increase depending on the amount of additional work to be done. This can be <br />handled on a case-by-case basis and additional hours can be billed at hourly rate of $160. <br />Deliverable: Draft and Final Historic Resource Evaluations. <br />Timeframe: M -Group will be able to prepare the completed Draft HIRE within 10 days of a Notice to <br />Proceed and authorization to access the property.
