<br />09/10/2007 <br />ATTACHMENT 6 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14807 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE "REDWOOD CITY PARKS, <br />RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES PRELIMINARY NEEDS <br />ASSESSMENT" DATED JULY 2007 AND THE IMPACT FEE PROJECT <br />LIST <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at a duly noticed public hearing held on September 10, 2007, the <br />City Council of the City of Redwood City (City Council) introduced a Parks Impact Fee <br />Ordinance and a Quimby Act Implementation Ordinance. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, according to the introduced ordinances, the implementation of the <br />programs established under these ordinances will be guided by a policy document of <br />the City Council to be known as the Impact Fee Project List. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City engaged a consultant, MIG, to aid in the preparation and <br />production of a parks assessment entitled, "Redwood City Parks, Recreation and <br />Community Services Preliminary Needs Assessment" dated July 2007 (Parks Needs <br />Assessment). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt an Impact Fee Project List based <br />on the Parks Needs Assessment. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> <br />2. That the "Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br />Preliminary Needs Assessment" dated July 2007, that was presented to the City Council <br />at their meeting on September 10, 2007, was filed and made available at the Office of <br />the City Clerk, and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby adopted. <br /> <br />3. That the recommended list of park improvements, attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein, is hereby adopted and shall serve as the City's <br />Impact Fee Project List. <br /> <br />4.
