DES :djk 08/01/96 (028/42) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/12/96 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 12840 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TREES FOR THE <br /> BROADWAY SIDEWALKS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br />solicited for the purchase of Aristocrat Pyrus and Ginkgo trees <br />for the Broadway Sidewalks Improvement project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Valley Crest Tree Company of Sunol, and Jack B. <br />Rydman Company of Oakville, California are the lowest responsible <br />bidders for the species of trees hereinafter described, and it is <br />the intention and desire of this Council to accept the bids <br />thereof; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Valley Crest Tree Company, in the total <br />amount of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-two and 20/100 <br />Dollars ($19,972.20), computed in accordance with said bidder's <br />proposal dated July 23, 1996, and the bid of Jack B. Rydman <br />Company, in the total amount of Seven Thousand Two Hundred <br />Seventy-four and 40/100 Dollars ($7,274.40), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 19, 1996 for <br />the sale of Aristocrat Pyrus and Ginkgo trees, respectively, <br />which bids are on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, are <br />hereby accepted, and said bidders are hereby found and declared <br /> <br /> <br />
