C.1 EOC Setup
The EOC is organized along strict ICS/Firescope structures. The staff positions are filled based on the
severity and response requirements dictated by the incident. The EOC at the Police Station is "hot" with
many of the work stations set up with computers, phones and job aids/supplies. Figure C.2 depicts a typical
EOC layout at the Police Station. The actual configuration will depend on the number of staff assigned and
the location of the EOC. During all but the most complex incidents, some staff, such as the Legal Advisor,
may work outside the EOC either from a remote location or from their normal City offices.
C-1
