❑ Assist with EOC Set-up (if not already fully set-up) <br />❑ Check work station to ensure readiness <br />❑ Wear identification vest and read overjob aid <br />❑ Receive situation, section and position briefing from available/appropriate personnel <br />❑ Ensure readiness to maintain concise records of position activities <br />Response: <br />Tour the entire EOC facility and evaluate conditions <br />Advise the EOC Director of any conditions and actions that might result in liability (unsafe layout <br />or equipment set-up, etc.) <br />❑ Study the EOC facility and document the locations of all fire extinguishers, emergency pull stations <br />and evacuation routes and exits <br />• FORM: ICS -215a <br />❑ Be familiar with particularly hazardous conditions in the facility; take action when necessary <br />❑ Prepare and present safety briefings for the EOC Director and General Staff at appropriate <br />meetings <br />• FORM: ICS -208 <br />❑ If the event that caused activation was an earthquake, provide guidance regarding actions to be <br />taken in preparation for aftershocks <br />❑ Ensure that the EOC facility is free from any environmental threats - e.g., radiation exposure, air <br />purity, water quality, etc. <br />❑ Keep the EOC Director advised of unsafe conditions; take action when necessary <br />❑ Coordinate with the Compensation/Claims Unit in completing all forms required by the workers' <br />compensation program for proper case evaluation and closure <br />Shift Change: <br />Provide turnover briefing to position replacement. Provide details regarding ongoing activities <br />and planned activities to be accomplished during the upcoming operational period <br />• FORM POSITION JOB AID <br />• FORM: ICS -214 <br />❑ Provide list of other Agency Representatives assigned to the EOC and City liaisons assigned to <br />other agencies <br />❑ Provide all completed documentation to the Documentation Unit <br />❑ Follow EOC check out procedures, including signing out, work station clean-up and forwarding <br />phone number where you can be reached <br />• FORM: ICS -211 <br />• FORM: ICS -205 <br />Demobilization and Termination: <br />❑ Deactivate position when authorized by EOC Director and follow Demobilization Unit Leader <br />directions/plan <br />C-10 <br />
