Logistics Service Branch <br />Responsible for managing and coordinating logistical response efforts including providing feeding and <br />communications. Opening and operating evacuation centers and mass care facilities in the City until/if the <br />ARC assumes responsibility <br />ELEMENTS INCLUDE: <br />• Supervising the Logistics Service Branch <br />• Ensuring Logistics service functions are carried out in support of the EOC and Field activities <br />• Providing feeding and communications support as required <br />• Directing the Care and shelter unit to open and operate facilities in support of survivors and <br />companion animals <br />• Establishing the appropriate level of unit staffing within the Logistics service branch, continuously <br />monitoring the effectiveness of the organization and modifying as required <br />• Ensuring Branch objectives as stated in the EOC Action Plan are accomplished within the <br />operational period or within the estimated time frame <br />• Coordinating closely with the Operations Section staff to monitor food and communications <br />support to activated Incident Commands within the affected area <br />• Keeping the logistics Section chief informed of all significant issues relating to the branch <br />Reports to: <br />Logistics Section Chief <br />Supervises: <br />• Food Unit <br />• Communications Unit <br />• Care and Shelter/ Animal Care Unit <br />• Medical Care Unit <br />Plans and Reports: <br />• EOC Action Plan <br />Forms and Guides: <br />• POSITION JOB AID <br />• ICS -205 COMMUNICATION LIST <br />• ICS -211 CHECK-IN LIST <br />• ICS -213 RESOURCE REQUEST <br />• ICS -214 ACTIVITY LOG <br />• FORM - RESOURCE TRACKING <br />Technology: <br />• LAPTOP <br />• PHONE (DESK OR CELL) <br />C-138 <br />
