MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />Council Member Howard — stated that at the September 25 Council meeting under <br />Matters of Council Interest, she would be bringing up the topic of legislation to be <br />signed by Governor Schwarzenegger that would restructure the Water Transit Authority <br />changing the 11 member board to a 5 member board. The board would be the Water <br />Emergency Transit Authority and would bring emergency transportation and disaster <br />preparedness under the umbrella of water transit. The concerns would be outlined in a <br />letter requesting that there be a San Mateo County representative and that the citizen <br />advisory committee be retained. <br />6.
