Further, the Foundation wishes to donate two special
amenities to the playground —Jen Lewin's Magical Harp and Light Pools for the Innovation Zone.
There are play amenities to what makes a Magical Bridge Playground a place that allows everyone to
interact and experience the joy and connectivity to one another. These include Barbara Butler's
Playhouse, Ava's Bridge, retreat huts, and benches; a slide mound to allow anyone using a wheelchair to
use slides; designated play zones that considers the unique needs for people who have autism; and an
innovation zone that stimulates imagination and creation -just to name a few.
The amenities that the Foundation would like to donate to the project are made possible by extra
contributions that we have received. Jen Lewin's Magical Harp is located at the Palo Alto's Magical
Bridge Playground as well as many other cities across the nation. The Magical Harp and Light Pools are
planned within the project, and instead of the City having to negotiate and create an agreement with
Jen Lewin, the Foundation will donate these amenities to the City. The value of the donation is
approximately $175,000.
Thank you for your consideration to accept this donation.
5en
ly,
illarreal
Founder
Magical Bridge Foundation
Cc: Chris Beth, Director— Parks, Recreation and Community Services
167
