Appointments to City Council-appointed Pilot Community Tree Board (Five 18- <br />month term seats available, expiring approximately February 28, 2009). Applicants <br />are listed in alphabetic order. <br /> <br />Mayor Pierce stated that the original criteria for the Pilot Community Tree Board <br />included the belief that it should consist of five members and that consideration <br />should be given to one or more members should be from the arboricultural or <br />horticultural profession, but in conducting the recruitment process, Council <br />discovered that this criteria hampered the selection process. Currently none of the <br />applicants have this background even though the application and interview times <br />were extended.
