DES:dj~ 07/02/96 (009/42) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 7/29/96 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 12829 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE RED MORTON COMMUNITY <br /> PARK PLAYGROUND PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12782, adopted June 3, <br />1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the construction and <br />installation of improvements at the Red Morton Community Park <br />Playground in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lone Star Landscape, Inc. of Alviso, California, is <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to accept said bid of Lone Star Landscape, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Lone Star Landscape, Inc., in the amount of <br />One Hundred Twenty-six Thousand One Hundred Sixty-three and <br />No/100 Dollars ($126,163.00), computed in accordance with said <br />bidder's proposal dated June 26, 1996, for the construction and <br />improvements at the Red Morton Community Park, is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br /> 07/02/96) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br /> corporation of the State of California and Lone Star Landscape, <br /> <br /> <br />
