<br />City of Redwood City CnBG 2007/08 Budget Narrative <br /> <br />1. Salary costs are based on part-time employees who are paid at the hourly rate of $12.73 <br />per hour. <br /> <br />2. Benefits charged are for Workman's Compensation which is charged at $0.56 per hour. <br /> <br />3. Food and Housekeeping Supplies. The costs include all food purchased for the Spring <br />Street Shelter residents, as well as necessary housekeeping supplies. Much of the food used <br />in the shelter is either donated or purchased through the Food Bank at a rate of$0.12 per <br />pound. <br />4. Telephone. The Spring Street Shelter has its own phone system billed separately. The <br />phones are used for business purposes of both staff and residents. Utilities include PG&E, <br />water, and garbage pickup. <br /> <br />NOTE: All costs estimates are based on 19 years of previous experience. <br />
