(602) — Public Hearing <br />A Public Hearing was held at the meeting of the Joint City Council/Successor Agency <br />Board/Public Financing Authority Meeting on July 22, 2019. <br />Present: Councilmembers Aguirre, Borgens, Hale, Howard, Masur, Reddy, and Mayor Bain <br />M/S Masur/Hale to close the public hearing passes unanimously by voice vote. <br />M/S Masur/Hale waive first reading and introduce Zoning Ordinance Amendments limiting <br />the impacts of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) built over detached garages, incentivizing <br />one-story ADUs, and making other miscellaneous amendments; and <br />Modifications to section 2d of 37.3C: Second story maximum height of 23 feet with 5 feet <br />extra to accommodate pitch of roof and complement architecture of home. <br />Modification to section 2(d)1: No more than 576 sq. ft. of accessory dwelling unit shall be <br />constructed over a detached garage. <br />Councilmember Reddy offered the following friendly amendment: Section 2(d) of 37.3C: <br />Second story maximum height of 20 feet plus extra roof height at the discretion of the Zoning <br />Administrator to accommodate pitch of roof and complement architecture of <br />home. Councilmembers Masur and Hale accepted the amendment. <br />The motion as amended passes 6-1 by electronic vote with Vice Mayor Howard <br />opposed. <br />Pamela Aguilar, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />
