<br />I. Duties and Responsibilities of the Parties. <br />A. Duties and Responsibilities of Public Allies Silicon Vallev. <br /> <br />Public Allies Silicon Valley shall: <br /> <br />i. Use its best efforts to recruit and select Allies for the <br />Program, and to provide information regarding certain Allies to Partner Organization in <br />sufficient detail to permit Partner Organization to evaluate their suitability for the <br />Position; <br /> <br />ii. Work with Partner Organization on training an Ally applicable <br />to the Position, and use its best efforts to train Ally both during the initial 7-day core <br />training Program in teambuilding and during four full days (all of which will be a regular <br />business day) of every month of the Term of the selected areas; <br /> <br />iii. Pay each Ally a stipend of not less than $15,000 gross <br />during the Term of the Program in the form of semimonthly payroll checks paid directly <br />to the Ally. In addition to this amount, Public Allies Silicon Valley will cover the Ally with <br />either worker's compensation insurance or liability insurance coverage (including <br />accidental death and dismemberment coverage), and pay unemployment insurance and <br />FICA taxes on the stipend as applicable under State and/or Federal law. This stipend <br />payment shall include Partner Organization's contribution as outlined in Section I(B)(i); <br /> <br />iv. <br />Ally's start date; and <br /> <br />Live Scan fingerprint (DOJ and FBI) each Ally prior to the <br /> <br />v. Provide Allies with heath care benefits under Bay Area <br />Community Resources' Kaiser health plan. <br /> <br />B. Duties and Responsibilities of Partner Oraanization. <br /> <br />Partner Organization shall: <br /> <br />i. Pay the following to Public Allies Silicon Valley: (a) a <br />contribution of $13.503 per Ally for Partner Organizations whose annual budgets are <br />under $750.000 and $15.777 for those Partner Organizations whose annual budgets <br />are $750,000 and greater, to be used by Public Allies Silicon Valley as part of Ally's <br />stipend pursuant to Section I(A)(iii); <br /> <br />ii. <br />health insurance plan; <br /> <br />Permit each Ally to participate in the AmeriCorps approved <br /> <br />iii. Accept from Public Allies Silicon Valley information regarding <br />potential Allies, evaluate their suitability for the Position in good faith and, after <br />evaluating a reasonable number of Allies, use its best efforts to select an Ally for the <br />Position for the Term; <br /> <br />Public Allies Partner Organization Agreement <br /> <br />2 <br />
