WHEREAS, the Redwood Peninsula EIR and the Technical Addendum together <br />constitute the "Project EIR"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project EIR fully idemifies all significant effects of the Project on the <br />environment, as well as all feasible mitigation measures; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project EIR incorporates two studies, the "Traffic Impact Study' <br />prepared by Fei'ir and Peers & Associates, transportation consultants (November 15, 1995) and <br />the "Airport Land Use and Safety Study" prepared by P & D Consultants, Inc. (May 6, 1996); <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Flatirons has agreed to adopt all feasible mitigation measures and changes <br />to the Project idemified in these reports to reduce potentially significant environmental impacts; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15164 of the State CEQA Guidelines, the City Council <br />of the City of Redwood City may approve a technical amendment to an EIR when an application <br />for a project does not result in a significant effect that was not previously considered in a prior <br />EIR; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE Iqr RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This City Council hereby finds, declares, and concludes as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) The foregoing recitals are true and factual and hereby incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> (b) On June 4, June 18 and June 19, 1996, the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City heard and received oral and documentary testimony. On June 19, 1996, the <br /> Planning Commission approved a Resolution approving and certifying the Technical Addendum. <br /> On June 25, 1996, the Planning Commission decision approving and certifying the Technical <br /> Addendum was appealed to the City Council. <br /> <br /> (c) This City Council has received and reviewed the information contained in the <br /> Administrative Record regarding the development of the Property including, without limitation, <br /> the Project EIR, the 1982 Development Agreement, the "Findings of Consistency Between the <br /> Electronic Arts Master Plan Project and the General Plan of the City of Redwood City," and <br /> "Findings, Fact In Support of Findings, and Statement Of Overriding Considerations regarding <br /> The Environmental Impact Report For The Electronic Arts Headquarters Master Plan" the <br /> testimony, both oral and documentary, made and submitted before and to this City Council, and <br /> all other matter deemed relevant to the approval of the Technical Addendum. <br /> <br /> (d) The Project EIR has been completed in compliance with CEQA and the State <br /> CEQA Guidelines and is adequate and complete. <br /> <br /> EAADRECC.DOC 2 <br /> July 11,1996 8:28 AM <br /> <br /> <br />
