Floor Area Ratio (FAR) Ordinance for Single -Family Homes <br />Recommendation: <br />Waive the first reading and introduce an ordinance approving new Zoning <br />Ordinance Article 48 (Floor Area Ratio) limiting the Floor Area Ratio of single <br />family homes to 40 percent or 2,500 sq. ft., whichever is greater, and approving <br />amendments to various Zoning Ordinance Articles regarding definitions and <br />residential and mixed use districts. <br />OPTION: The City Council may also consider adoption of an urgency ordinance <br />(effective immediately) for the Zoning Ordinance Amendments introducing a <br />Floor Area Ratio and related amendments to various articles of the Zoning <br />Ordinance (Requires an affirmative vote of six Councilmembers).
