0 R I G I N A L 7/1/96 <br /> <br /> R E SOL U T I O N NO. 12814 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT WITH <br /> SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR PURCHASING <br /> MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, AND SUPPLIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 5, Division 7, Title 1 (commencing with Section <br />6500) of the California Government Code, authorizes public agencies to enter <br />into agreements for the joint exercise of powers which are common to them; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2.80 of the Code of the City of Redwood City <br />provides that the City of Redwood City may, subject to certain criteria, request <br />local agencies to 3urchase materials, equipment, or supplies on behalf of the <br />City, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Sequoia Union High School District and the City of <br />Redwood City have heretofore entered into a joint exercise of powers agreement <br />pursuant to which said District has purchased certain materials, equipment and <br />supplies for the City, the term of which agreement expires June 30, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to continue the joint purchasing <br />procedure established by the prior agreement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City and the District, under which <br />the District will continue to purchase certain materials, equipment and supplies <br />for the City has been presented to, and reviewed by, this Council, and this <br /> <br />Council desires to approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
